From 1983 to 1988, output value grew from 15 million to over 100 million yuan. In 1989, the steel-wire hose produced by Zaozhuang Rubber Factory was awarded the "National Gold Medal." By 1992, the factory's output value exceeded 200 million yuan, making Zaozhuang’s top taxpayer and contributing a quarter of the city’s fiscal revenue.
